Such great range of experiences from the wonderful architectural sites in Agra, Delhi and Jaipur to the safari at Ranthambore - we were lucky enough to see a tiger, but even without it's a must to visit.

The observatory at Jaipur was amazing. Spending a morning in a local school was fantastic.
Be prepared for a lot of travelling. India is a vast country and the distances between stopping points are correspondingly great. It is quite a tiring trip because of the travelling and there aren't any rest days, each day is busy. Also be prepared for a lot of interaction with the locals, especially those selling "souvenirs", they can be a bit "in your face".
[Comments on itinerary] Making the trip a 13-day experience, with an extra couple of rest days where you could just chill out, would be really useful.
The accommodation was very good, much better than I expected. Cleanliness was good and the staff were always helpful. The swimming pools were clean and seemed well looked after.
Our group leader, Avdesh, was fantastic, a real star. He always made sure we had everything we needed, always took care of our dietary needs at meal times and really made the trip something a bit special. He advised us how best to manage the vendors at every site we stopped at, how to haggle, and was a treasure of information about everything.

Taj mahal and tiger safari. The tour guide, Junaid, was fantastic throughout.
Too much moving around - need to have 2 nights per stop and take off the last 2 days in havellis. Have written with suggested itinerary.
Having discussed the tour with a number of other parents, we think the itinerary was too ambitious for a family tour, and that there was too much (unnecessary) moving around. We did not have enough time in Delhi to explore, and we left feeling we had really only scratched the surface of that wonderful city. In addition, we felt there was too much travelling on the coach on the last 2 days of the tour which could have been avoided as, in our opinion, spending 2 days extra to see the Havelis was unwarranted. Train back to Delhi form Jaipur.
Junaid ensured the group was always fully informed and (where appropriate) given choices, and he demonstrated significant knowledge on the history and culture of all the places we visited and Indian culture in general. Jay was always available and encouraged questions and contact, and was incredibly good with all the children (as well as adults). Most of the group were ill at some stage during the tour, and Jay ensured that they were as comfortable as possible and was able to give advice and provide medication. He was particularly attentive with the children, including our little girl Rebecca, who was very ill over the last 2 days. Jay is generally a very nice and professional man who saved the day on a number of occasions, and definitely helped make the holiday enjoyable for us.

Our wonderful guide, Sher Singh and seeing a tiger up close. We also enjoyed the heritage accommodations.
[least enjoyed] the hotel in Delhi was noisy and we got soaked in a rainstorm on our second tiger safari as the driver would not allow us to wait in the visitors centre until the rain stopped - even though our guide asked him to do that.
The itinerary was excellent, just the right pace.
We enjoyed visiting the school.
Just wonderful and lovely. We would travel again on any trip Sher Singh was leading.

The most inspiring aspect was indian people who were so inventive in making an income and passionate and motivated. The historical palaces were incredible and the elephants at Amber Fort were great to see. Bollywood at Jaipur and the theatre in Agra were not to be missed.
Our tour leader went the extra mile to ensure that we had a really special adventure. He was really professional and experienced and patient with all our questions.
We took this trip at Easter 2009 and it was fantastic. Such great range of experiences from the wonderful architectural sites in Agra, Delhi and Jaipur to the safari at Ranthambore - we were lucky enough to see a tiger, but even without it's a must to visit. As always with the Adventure company we had an excellent guide and the trip was very well planned. It's hard to believe we packed in so much in such a short time!
