The Year of the Snake Begins

Sunday saw the Chinese welcome in the New Year and 2013 is all about the snake. The snake is considered a good omen in China, a sign that your family will be well and not starve but what does the Year of the Snake mean for you?

If you were born in the Year of the Snake: 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 or 2013, then you are likely to be adventurous by nature, a bit of a risk taker but also careful with money. Those born under the snake are sociable, intelligent and love to make new friends. This makes snakes ideal adventure travellers.

And if you decide to start your own business this year you could be in for success. Chinese astrologers believe that businesses 'born' in 2013 will take on the traits of the snake; patience, observance and ambition. 2013 is also the year of water which stands for money, wealth and commerce. Success, it's believed, will come from progressing steadily and by paying attention to detail and not making any rash decisions.
