Tiger cub found on a roof in Paraguay

The police of Asuncion, Paraguay have an interesting prisoner on their hands after a tiger cub was found by residents on a rooftop in the town of Itaugua Guazu on Friday..

The tiger cub is not much bigger than the average house cat but so far no one has come forward to claim it and the cub remains with the police, happily playing in a prison cell.

Tigers which are not native to Paraguay so the arrival of this little cub is somewhat of a mystery. Previously Paraguay had tigers in the news back in August when 16 tigers were kept in cages for two months while Argentine officials processed their paperwork for entry.

For now the little cub remains in the care of the Paraguay police.
